Inspection Templates define the inspection criteria for one or many items.
To add an inspection template please do the following.
- Log in to https://yourcompanyname.coreinspection.com
- Go to “Set up” -> “Inspection Templates”
- Click add new. (Or copy an existing one is easiest)
- The “Name” field describes the inspection template
- The “Equipment Types” field determines what equipment types this inspection template is available for.
- “Only available on web”, determine if the template is available to be used on the mobile apps.
- Click “Add Section” to add a section to the template.
- Enter a “Section Name”, this will be displayed when filling out the reports.
- Click “Add Field” to add a field into the section.
- Give the field a name and select an option from the combo box to select the type of field. Fields can be many different types (eg Text, Number). The following options are special in that one of the values will cause the inspection to Fail.
- Pass Fail N/A (When Fail is selected the inspection will fail)
- Pass Fail (When Fail is selected the inspection will fail)
- Pass Fail N/A (When Fail is selected the inspection will fail)
- Pass Fail N/A Replaced (When Fail is selected the inspection will fail)
- OK Serviceable Defective (When Defective is selected the inspection will fail)
- Pass Attention Warning N/A (When Warning is selected the inspection will fail)
- Click “Save Definition”
- Click on the Reports tab.
- Click “Add New”
- Click “Use A Default Template”
- Click “Save”

Adding Colours To The Report / Certificate
Core allows you to highlight cells in a report based on the result of an individual inspection line. For example you could highlight all lines that had a fail in red. Or for example you could highlight all lines that had "Warning" in orange.
To do this please take the following steps.
- Open the relevant inspection template.
- Click "More Options".
- Next to Colour Coding click "Add Colour Coding"
- Fill in the details as shown below and click save.
